Something Shines Out

One of the motifs I find myself looking for in poetry and visual art is descriptions and uses of light. I’m fascinated by all the ways light affects, changes, and creates what it touches. Without light, there would be no sight, no color, no heat, no shadow or shade.

The more I began to pay attention to the brilliance and peculiarities of light in art, the more I wanted a way to record and remember those excerpts. And so a new blog was born: Something Shines Out.

Feel to check it out, and to suggest a poem or painting I can feature!
